CONDENSED DISPATCHES. The First National bank, of Cartersville, Ga., hassuspended. John J. McConnell, a morocco and cotton manufacturer, of Philadephia, assigned on July 17. Owing to the failure of the John Kaufman Brewing Company, of Cincinnati, to borrow $60,000 to meet an obligation coming due on August 1. the stockholders have had a receiver appointed. A Buffalo special says that a mortgage judg. ment has forced the real estate firm of Selleck Bros. to go out of business. They have not made an assignment. Their liabilities are said to be between $123,000 and $150,000.
