Description

Multiple contemporaneous articles (Mar 14, 1927) report the Ocean City Bank of Del Ray 'did not open' and that the state bank examiner 'assumed charge' of the Del Ray institution. There is no article text here reporting a reopening; examiner control implies official intervention, so I classify this as a suspension leading to closure/official control. If later evidence showed reopening, the classification would change.
