# LETTERS FOR OLD # DEFUNIAK BANK # PATRONS UNCLAIMED It is understood that Postmaster Hancock has at his office several hundred letters from the receiver of the old First National Bank addressed to parties not known at the Pensacola office. The practice of advertising uncalled for letters has been discontinued by the postoffice department, therefore the postmaster is not permitted to make the list known to the public in the way formerly customary. Doubtless many of the people addressed in thi instance are residents of Escambia county outside the city, or former residents of Pensacola. If any parties expecting returns from the old bank do not receive thein soon, they might find, on taking the matter up with the Pensacola office, that the check they expect is in the hands of the postmaster awaiting their call.
