DETAILS OF LOAN SOUGHT AT TRIAL Head of Closed Buckhannon Bank Reveals Secret $10,000 Deal ELKINS, Aug. 2 (AP).-John C. McWhorter, one of the six officers and directors of the closed Traders National bank of Buckhannon accused of testified that $10,000 loan transaction in question in the case was made to maintain the bank's cash reserve. The first witness for the defense. McWhorter, who is 67 years old, and former circuit judge, asserted that because of the banking situation at that time in Buckhannon, the directors authorized Sanford Graham, the cashier, to obtain $10,000 loan Graham, John Post, Ulysses Young, William Post and Charles G. Munson, Sr., are charged with borrowing $10,000 on 200 shares of Hazel-Atlas Glass company stock and depositing the money in joint personal account without the knowledge of the other directors. The defense maintains the loan was made for the best interests of the bank. The case is being tried in federal court. Offices Opened CLARKSBURG, Aug. (AP).-E.
