(From the Westby Times.) Mrs. Homstad and Oscar Bjerke of Flandreau. South Dakota, are guests at E. C. Bratlie's home. P. P. Hektoen and James Lees went to La Crosse to attend the lecture of Roald Amundson, the Arctic explorer. E. E. Conrad is putting the pump in the new well for the village. It will be only a few days before the new well will be in running order. G. M. Peterson, John Peterson, John Sinnes and Magnus Mikkelson took advantage of the snow recently, dug up their skis and departed for the high hills. They report an exciting time. The Bijur brothers, tobacco men from New York, are here. Having had case weather this week, it is probable that the warehouses will open in a couple of weeks. M. H.
