BIG RIVER. Did you make a mistake and write 1863? Rev. K. G. Beyer of La Crosse visited here the past week. Mrs. Jane Staples of Stevens Co., Minn., is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gray. T. H. Barrett and David Gray each have new cutters. We acknowledge a pleasant call last week from Claude Bodman of Star Prairie. Come again. Jas. Miller of Knapp is visiting friends hereabouts. John Burnett of Minneapolis called on your scribe one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Morrow buried their infant last Sunday. Peter Gillig has been appointed collector for the Northwestern Life Association of Minneapolis for the local board at Big River. A. C.
