Eleva Banker Nearly Killed by Motor Gas er county clerk of Trempealeau county and president of the Bank of Eleva, in process of liquidation since it was closed nearly year ago was in a serious condition at his home here today as the result of monoxide gas poisoning but was expected to recover Risberg owes the fact he is still alive to his daughter Pearl who hearing the motor of his car running in the garage for long time went out to investigate She found her father seated at the wheel of the car unconsclous. The rear door of the garage was open but the front doors had blown partly shut He had evidently been engaged in tinkering with the car at the time and had started the motor to try it out and had been overcome by the gas.
