Suspend Business at Eau Claire Bank for Reorganization Eau Claire, Wis., July 13-(.P)The Eau Claire Savings bank was closed today by the state banking department at the request of the institution's board of directors. A statement Issued by the board said plans for reorganization were being made and that the closing was demed best in order to safeguard depositors following withdrawals after rumors of the institution's condition had been circulated. The last statement, published July 6, showed deposits of $733,554.74 and loans, discounts and rediscounts of 86. The bank was incorporated in 1906 and was capitalized for $50,000.
