Description

No article describes a depositor run; newspapers document the bank being unable to open (early 1897), appointment of receivers (Lewis B. Bignold, later F. L. Carr), public auctions of assets in Aug and Dec 1898, and final distribution of assets to creditors by receiver in 1900. This indicates a suspension followed by permanent closure with receivership. I corrected OCR artifacts (e.g., 'neg' -> 'negotiations' / 'unable to open' implied) but did not invent facts.
