THE CASE OF THE BANK OF VIRGINIA RECEIVERS.-On Saturday the attention of the United States Circuit Court was occupied by the argument on the motion for the removal of Messrs. S. C. Tardy and D. J. Saunders, receivers of the Bank of Virginia. Messrs. Quarrier, Fitzhugh, and Miller, of West Virginia, and Robert W. Hughes, are counsel for the petitioners and Messrs. James Alfred Jones, Bradley T. Johnson, L. R. Page, William T. Joynes, L. II. Chandler, and B. H. Nash, for the receivers. The case was adjourned until to-day.

Smith, of Alexandrie, followed 04 the same side. In the U. S. Circuit Court, in Richmond, on Saturday, in the case of certain creditors of the Bank of Virginia VS. S. C. Tardy and D. J. Saunders, Receivers and Trustees, the court gave a written order carrying out the oral decision pronounced a fow days ago, and which has been published in the Gazette. The U. 8. Court was engaged on Saturday in the trial of Frederick Baanasch, for alleged dealing in bogus tobacco stamps. The opening sneech for the prosecution was made by Mr. Beach, District Attorney. The jury returned a verdict of guilty, but recommended elemency in the sentence. James C. Southall, editor of the Richmond Enquirer, is S candidate for superintendent of public instruction, James McDonald an editer of the Richmond White, is a candidate for secretary 01 the commenwealth. The State is to be divided into sisteen audi cial circuits. The counties of Loudone, Fauquier, Prince William, Fairfax, Rappahannock and Alexandria will constitute the eleventh circuit.
