Dillwyn Sunday Schools Have Excellent Attendance.- Bank Receivers at Work DILLWYN, Va., Jan. 20.-Both the Baptist and Methodist Sunday schools here had a record attendance last Sunday. The schools are well organized and are doing work that would be creditable to much larger churches. J. B. Wall, of Farmville, was host at dinner Wednesday to the division superintendent and principals of the county high schools. It was regretted that Supt. James and Principal Robertson, of the Arvonia school. could not be present. Mrs. Eubelia Silvey of Richmond. and Mrs. W. R. Silvey of New York, were recent guests of relatives here. Marshall Claiborne, Jr., of the University of Virginia, spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Claiborne. Mr. and Mrs. Winker. of Charlottesville. visited Mr. and Mrs. Herman Price Sunday. Mrs. T. J. Davis, who has been ill. is improving C. M. Marks, of Richmond, was here last week. Mr. Tucker, of South Boston. recently appointed receiver of the Merchants and Planters National bank here. is adjusting the affairs of the institution efficiently. P. W Wilson visited friends here last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Nuckols spent Tuesday with their son Marshall. a member of the Farmville company. in Danville Mrs. C. Garnett visited Miss Liflian Gilliam recently, Dr. R. E. Hanmer spent the week end in Farmville. Tom Turner. of Diana Mills. visited friends here recently. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Hayes are welcomed to the community. The former is manager of the White Front market here. Mrs. C. R. Wood and Mrs. A. L. Smith were in Farmville this week.
