TEXAS DEPOSITORS CAUSE BANK TO QUIT BUSINESS RANGER, Texas, Feb. 19 -The First National Bank of Ranger, with deposits aggregating half a million dollars, failed to open its doors yesterday and steps have been taken to turn the institution over to the federal bank examiner for an adjustment of its affairs. Reports of financial difficulties, circulated earlier in the week, resulted in a run on the bank on Thursday and there was not sufficient cash on hand to weather the storm. The cause of the bank's trouble, according to officials of the institution, was inability to realize on loans.
