NOTICE OF TRUSTEE'S SALE. Whereas, Heretofore, towit, on the 31st day of December, 1913, in a suit entitled Rio Grande Valley Bank and Trust Company vs. / Guaranty Trust and Banking company, numbered 10079 on the docket or the 41st Judicial District Court of El Paso county, Texas, judgment was rendered in favor of the plaintiff and against the defendant for the sum of one hundred and three thousand, nine hundred and seventy and 15-100 dollars ($103,970.15) and interest from January 1, 1914, at 8 percent per annum, which judgment was duly recorded in the minutes of said court; and Whereas, the undersigned, John H. Harper, receiver in said cause, was by said judgment ordered to make a sale according to the laws of the state of Texas governing sales of real estate under execution of the herinafter described property; and Whereas, said judgment decreed that said sale should be made subject to a lien of the State Life Insurance company, of Indianapolis, Indiana, amounting to seventy thousand dollars ($70,000.00) and interest. Now Therefore, I, John H. Harper, receiver in said cause, by virtue of the authority in me vested by said judgment and decree will, on the third day of March, 1914, that being the first Tuesday in said month, between the hours of 10 oclock in the forenoon and 4 oclock in the afternoon of said day, at the court house door in El Paso, El Paso county, Texas, offer for sale to the highest bidder for cash the following described real property, towit: Beginning at the northwest corner of block No. 38, according to what is known as Anson Mills's map of El Paso, Texas, at the point of intersection of the southerly boundary line of San Antonio street, and the easterly line of Stanton street: thence in a southerly direction and along the easterly line of Stanton street 107 feet, more or less, to the northerly wall of a one-story brick building situated on the east side of Stanton street and fronting the said street (the most northerly line of said building being a distance of about 107 feet from the southerly line of San Antonio street) : thence in an easterly direction along said northerly line of said building 79 feet to the westerly line of the adjoining property on the east; thence northerly and parallel with Stanton street 107 feet more or less to the southerly line of San Antonio street; thence westerly and along the southerly line of San Antonio street 79 feet to the place of beginning, together with the certain five story building now located upon said land known as the Guaranty Trust. building. I will sell said property to satisfy said judgment, interest and costs, and I will make to the purchaser or purchasers such deed or deeds as I am by law authorized to make in the premises. BANK BIDS IN THE GUARANTY BUILDING At a receivers' sale held Wednesday, John H. Harper disposed of the Guaranty Trust and Banking company's building, now the Electric building, to the Rio Grande Valley Bank and Trust company, which company took over the accounts of the Guarantee bank when it was liquidated. The building A as bid in by the Rio Grande company for $30,000 and the assumption of a mortgage of $70,000. This does not represent the real value of the building, but was only a legal step to conclude the liquidation and the discharge of the receiver. Fresh meats of all kinds. Opitz market.
