FOUR SUE AUTO AGENCY. Blame Defect in Car for Crush in April Last Year. Damage suits totaling $22,000 were filed in circuit court yesterday against the Marmon Motor Car Company by W. D. Sisson and three friends who were injured when his automobile went over an embankment three miles west of the WMC plant on Bristol Highway, April 6, 1930. The suite say that Mr. Sisson's car was defective in the steering apparatus, and that all four were severely injured in the crash. Mr. Sisson asked for damages of $4,000. R. L. Ralls asked for $6,000 damages, and H. M. and John Humphries filed suit for $6,000 each. INJURED PEDESTRIAN SUES. Mrs. E. K. Carter named the Memphis Motorcycle Company and H. T. Vaughn as defendants in suit for $5,000 damages filed in circuit court yesterday. She said that Dec. 18 she was injured while on the sidewalk at Claybrook and Poplar when otorcycle belongto the Motorcycle Company and Mr. Vaughan's collided. and the motorcycle was thrown onto the sidewalk, striking her. She alleges that both car motorcycle were driven negligently. TROLLEY PASSENGER SUES. The Memphis Street Railway Company named in a suit for $3,000 damages filed in circuit court yesterday by George Fleming. Mr. Fleming said that on Aug. 12, 1929, he boarded a Peabody car at Bellevue and Linden but the door step was not let down properly so that he fell into the car and was injured. BANK RECEIVER SUES. D. D. Robertson, receiver for the Liberty Savings Bank Trust Company, filed suit In chancery court yesterday for collection of a $2,000 note alleged overdue from Peter Eleogram. SUES TO COLLECT ON NOTES. J. L Huntzinger. of Chicago, brought suit in chancery court terday against George Awsumb, asking decree on three promissory notes totaling $1,500. ASKS $1,000 FOR FALL.
