NURSE WANTS WORK Man With War Record Can Attend Invalid Alexander Batten. who battled with the Canadian forces in France from 1914 to 1918, now has battle with hard times. Batten has had years of experience as nurse, taking care of special and institutional cases. He can do almost any kind of work around a hospital and has excellent references. Both the Red Cross Chapter and the ¥. M. C. A. are trying to help him find work. Any family that has a man invalid in need of services is urged to call either organization. BANK RECEIVER ASKED Special Sentinel CLEVELAND. Tenn. A bill filed by Atty.-Gen. R. Beecher Witt asks that D. D. Robertson, state bank superintendent, be appointed receiver for People's Bank. It says that the bank, which closed Monday, had deposits of $311,077, with 1603.36 cash on hand. Loans and discounts totaled $386,764.70. Assets and liabilities were listed at $445,762.74.
