General News. Cook & Cheek, of Atlanta, Ga., failed yesterday. Their liabilites are stated at $300,000. E. B. Parsons & Co., bankers, of De Ruyter, N. Y., are reported to have suspended yesterday. The Danish Rigsdag recently passed a law forbidding the importation of potatoes from the United States. Caleb D. Marsh told a Boston newspaper "interviewer" in Montreal, yes. terday, that he was preparing "a full statement for the press concerning the Belknap affair."
