# LAWYER ENGLESBY # VOLUNTARY BANKRUPT States Liabilities as $164,934.90 and Assets as $230. L. F. Englesby, a lawyer, at 317 John Marshall Place, has filed a petition in voluntary bankruptcy, in the District Court. He lists his liabilities as $164,934.90, and his assets at $230. Mr. Englesby contends that this latter amount represents property which is exempt under the law. Among the heaviest creditors are the Howard National Bank, Burlington, Vt., $10,000; First National Bank, Rapid City, S. D., $5,000, receivers; American Savings Bank, contingent liability, as director of said bank, disputed by petitioner in suit, $35,000. The great majority of creditors are residents of Vermont, New York and Massachusetts.
