# The Squier Estate in Court. The court in general term yesterday afternoon took up for hearing the equity cause of Jesse B. Wilson, receiver, against A. B. Grunwell et al., which involves a transaction growing out of the failure of the bank of J. H. Squier & Co. It is claimed that Squier was indebted to Grunwell in the sum of $25,400, and after the failure of the bank, to secure the debt, he deeded the premises, 1514 K street, at a consideration of $23,000. The question is raised as to the legality of the transfer, and whether or not the assignment conveyed any interest in the property and gave the receiver any right of equity therein.
