Court Proceedings at Selby The spring term of court convened in Selby, March 22, with Judge J. H Bottoms of the 10th judicial district upon the bench. Court Reporter, R. J. Seaman was in attendance. Thirty-seven cases were docketed for this session but as we go to press there is reason to believe that a number of them will be left until the fall term of court. State of S. D., vs. J J. Mock criminal case jury trial, defendant not guiltv. State of S. D,, vs. Ray King charged with obtaining money by false check. Demuirer to complaint, demurrer sustained, case dismissed. State of S. D., vs. Joe Marles charged with assault of sharp and dangerous weapon, defendant was found guilty and sentenced to hard labor for 18 years in penitentary. State of S. D., vs. Mr. Ingalls continued to next term of court. A. H. Brown vs. C. S. Stevens settled out of court and dismissed First State of Forest City, Iowa VS S. M., E. B. and M D. Hawver, settled out of court, dismissed. Hoven State Bank vs. Robert Hamm verdict for plaintiff, jury trail. J, T. Obenauer administrator Carl Karlgnger, deceased, vs. Martin Grieger settled out of court. Ella Zimmer vs. A. H. Brown in city of Mobridge, dismissed on motion of plaintiffs attorney. Frank Alexander as administrator of Erbana Schub, deceased vs. Christian Oster John Krause and P Peter Kast, deceased, continued 10 October term. F. M. Goodman vs. C. A. Smith settled out of court.
