AT THE THEATERS Orpheum. Clever dancers and comedians head the Orpheum bill the last half of the Alexandria and Olsen offer "What's It All About?" They have also added an afterpiece in which the whole bill participates and it is a real clown frolic. A variety of entertainment provided by "The Whirl of Syncopation," with a company of six. Ray Shannon and Ralph Coleman present comedy absurdity entitled "The Top Floor. The Dixon-Rigg trio is one of the outstanding gymnastic sensations of the vaudeville stage. The feature photoplay is "Women First.' Heading the cast are those two popular thrill makers, William Fairbanks and Eva Novak. Rialto. "The Gay Young Bride." featuring Tommy Martelle, is the attraction at the Rialto theater this week. Playing "opposite" Martelle. in the role of the husband of the "Gay Young Bride," is Cecil Secrest, popular ju. venile leading with the ClarkeSistare has made hundreds of friends in his short stay in Sioux City and this week he has added to the number by his excellent work. Martelle. playing the second week of return engagement, has clever part in the vehicle. and he manages to play his role for all it is worth. He is without peer in some of his impersonations. and Sioux City audiences have been giving him plenty of applause. The play, "Spooks," will supplant the present play following the matineo Saturday afternoon. Princess. Murder done. robbery attempted. pursuit frustrated. mystery distilled and distilled and the solution deferred are some of the thrills that come to those who see "The Bat," showing all this week at the Princess theater. Every one of large household is suspected of the hideous crime of murder. and added to that fact is the fact that every one of the household has something to hide. The spectator is kept busy transferring his suspicions from one party to another Jewel Carmen, Jack Pickford. Louise Fazenda. Emily Fitzroy, Robert McKim, Eddie Gribbon, Tullio Carminati, Andre Beranger and Sojin, oriental character actor, are among the eminent players in the cast. On the stage Manager Homer Gill presents the Laing brothers, premier xylophonists. Plaza. The tragedy of an unhappy fam ily is the story of "Siege, which will be shown today and at the Plaza theater. How dominating. cruel personality ruled the lives of all the members of an aristocratic New England family. how it drove one member to suicide and almost caused the separation of husband and wife, these are the highlights of the plot. Besides Virginia Valli and Eugene O'Brien, who are starred, the cast includes Mary Alden, Marc MacDermott, Beatrice Burham, Harry Lorraine and Helen Dunbar. Mary den plays one of the greatest roles of her career as the stern, dominant ruler of the New England clan. Strand. Gloria Swanson is being starred in the film, "Her Love Story,' showing the rest of this week at the Strand theater. Mary Roberts Rinehart wrote the story, Balkan tale kings and nobles, who are real human beings. Ian Keith has the leading male role in support of the star. George Fawcett and Mario Majeroni head the strong cast appearing in the play. Royal. "Wings of Youth," which will be shown the last half of this week the Royal theater, a pleasing story, translating the of this supposedly age with a carefree hand to the screen.
