SUSPENSION.--A bill is pending before the Alabama Legislature authorizing the Bank of Selma and Bank of Montgomery to suspend specie payments : also, the Farmers' Bank at Montgomery, an institution which is just organizing, and which has paid over to the Controller the amount of State bonds required by law to put it in operation.
