TWO GREENVILLE CASES Supreme Court Hands Down Decisions In Real Estate Tangles COLUMBIA, Apr. 10-Two Greenville cases were decided by the state supreme court, in opinions handed down today. One of the cases is titled, South Carolina Savings bank as receiver for the Peoples Bank of Fountain Inn, versus M. Stansell, appellant, in regard South Carolina Savings bank receiver for the Peoples Bank of Fountain Inn, plaintiff, versus Rose Stansell Boggs, Ethel Stansell, Mary Stansell Coker. John Stansell, Sarah Stansell, and Roy Stansell, defendants. The case involving division of an estate Twelve years ago Mrs. Lula Stansell four of her children mortgaged their 48 to the Peoples Bank of Fountain Inn. In later years the mortgage was transferred the South Carolina Savings bank. In recent years the bank brought action against the six children Mrs. Stansell for partition of the property. with view to coller In Judge H ordered sale of the land Stansell put bid for Stansell later refused comply with the bid, and Judge Mauldin ordered compliance. From this order Stansell appealed. The supreme court affirms the order of Judge Mauldin, the opinion of the court being prepared by JusStabler. The other case is that of J. Pace, respondent, versus Ethel Still, with Leroy Mahaffey and Gallivan are appellants. An opinion Associate Justice Cothran modifies the lower court's decision in this case, which involves settlement of a mortgage on real estate. Action was brought to foreclose mortgage given by Ethel Still to L. Pace, in April 1928, to secure of herself and her husband, R. B. Still, for $4,000 The mortgage was on two tracts of land in suburb of Greenville, including ten acres. Mr. Mahaffey bought piece property at Sans Souci from George for $8,500 He borrowed $5,900 from Gallivan and gave security mortgage and note which R. B. Still had given him on the acres. The suit was brought collection. The court orders the matter manded to the circuit court, with authority for the complain to be amended so as to bring into the case the matter foreclosure the Gallivan mortgage upon the Koester
