Description

Newspapers show the Bank of Fountain Inn became insolvent and was in receivership (South Carolina Savings Bank as receiver). There is no description of a depositor run in the articles; instead they report receivership, litigation to recover county deposits, and master sales of bank-owned property in 1928. Therefore this is a suspension that resulted in permanent closure/receivership. Dates taken from article publication dates and sale notices (receiver referenced Aug 31, 1927; master sales and receiver actions reported Dec 1927–June 1928).
