Description

Articles (Oct 1928) report Citizens Bank of Inverness 'suspended operations recently' after a bank examiner's report; subsequent 1930 reporting refers to the bank as 'defunct' and indictments for embezzlement/forgery of cashier and assistant cashier. No article describes a depositor run; the suspension appears linked to bank-specific malfeasance and the bank did not resume operations (per 'defunct').
