Ex-House Member And 2 Others Given Fraud Sentences By the Associated Press SCRANTON, Pa., Dec. 4.Former Representative James P. Scoblick,/his brother and a bank official were sentenced to jail yesterday on charges of defrauding the Mayfield (Pa.) State Bank through operations of a check-kiting scheme. The bank suspended operations after discovery of a $169,000 shortage. Scoblick, 45, of Archbald, who was elected to the 80th Congress in 1946 for a single term as a Republican, was sentenced to five years in prison. The other sentences were: Frank Scoblick, 38, Jessup, his brother, three years in prison. Michael Senio, 52, Mayfield, former cashier of the defunct bank, three years in prison. Anthony Scoblick, 34, Carbondale, a brother of James and Frank, placed on probation five years. Firm Also Fined.
