RECEIVER IS APPOINTED FOR QUANTICO, VA., BANK Chief Justice McCoy of the District Supreme Court today appointed W. J. Ford of Fredericksburg, Va., ancillary receiver for the Bank of Quantico and fixed his bond at $50,000, making a total of $100,000 including the amount fixed for the receiver by the Virginia vourt. The bank has no creditors in the District, the court is told, but has assets here consisting of $48,412.34 in cash, on deposit at the Commercial National Bank.

BANK RECEIVER NAMED. W.J. Ford Designated for Institution at Quantico, Va. Chief Justice McCoy of the District Supreme Court today appointed W. J. Ford of Fredericksburg, Va., as ancillary receiver of the Bank of Quantico, which is in financial troubles in the courts of Virginia. The bank has no creditors in Washington, ft was stated, but the receivership is made necessary because the bank had on deposit with the Commercial National Bank of this city $48,412.34.

# Bankruptcy Petition GREENSBORO, N. C., Aug. 28.- Petition declaring that J. D. Norwood, of Salisbury, prominent in business and state political circles, is bankrupt and is unable to meet certain obligations, was filed in federal court here Monday by H. Kemper, of Galveston, Texas; W. J. Ford, receiver of the Bank of Quantico, Quantico, Va., and S. A. Patterson, of Richmond. The petition filed claims against the Salisbury man totaling $30,711.48.
