BANK PURCHASES INSTITUTION AT ELYRIA ON FRIDAY Elyria, O., Aug. 29, Taylor, president of the Lorain County Savings and Trust Co:nDany of Elyria, today announced that his concern had purchased the Amherst Savings and Banking Company, which closed Its doors last July. Negotiations were completed terday among officials of both banks. The purchase price said to he $300,000. The Amberst bank will be reopened as a branch office.
