Weather Bureau Furloughs Starr Cut in Appropriation Reduces Roster Victor P Starr. junior observer at the local S. Wheeler, who pleaded guilty on June 28 to embezzling approximately $19 000 from the First National bank at Emporium was sentenced yesterday by U. S. Judge Albert L. Watson to spend two years at the federal women's prison at Alderson, W. Va. Miss Wheeler's speculations extended over period of five years and when they were discovered the depositors made run on the bank. which finally closed its doors. When she pleaded guilty doctors said that was on the verge of collapse Miss Wheeler was clerk at the bank.
