BANK RUN At Aspinwall Results in Placing the Institution in Hands of Examiner. (BY ASSOCIATED PRESS) PITTSBURG, August 28.-The First National Bank of Aspinwall, a suburb, was Monday placed in charge of J. Frank Miller, national bank examiner, after a meeting of the board of directors, at which it was disclosed that a considerable portion of deposits had been withdrawn by depositors last Saturday. The run, it was stated, followed the closing of the Central Trust Company, of Pittsburg, many Aspinwall depositors believing that C. O. Spillman, president of the bank, was also president of the trust company. Mr. Spillman resigned from the trust company in July but the fact was not generally known. The bank had a capital of $25,000 and deposits of about $100,000.
