Bank Receivers Appointed. The controller of the currency today appointed receivers of insolvent national banks as follows: Mr. Henry P. Hilliard of Austin, Texas, receiver of the First National Bank of Llana, Texas, which suspended payment on the 5th instant. Mr. Robert P. Williams of Fayette, Mo., receiver of the American National Bank of Springfield. Mo., which suspended payment on the 14th instant.

Washington Notes. Special Dispatch. Washington, June 28.-Mr. H. P. HIIHard of Austin and receiver of the First national bank of Liano, who has been here for a day or two on official business with Comptroller wekles, left for home tonight. Mr. Hilliard called upon the president yesterday and was given the cordial reception which Mr. Cleveland always gives to Texans. Representative Balley will deliver a speech to the Democrats of Nevada, Mo., at the Invitation of the congreesional comittee of that district sometime within the next month. The following fourth-class postmasters were appointed today: Humble, T. V. Bender, vice P. 8. Humble, resigned: Moble, C. B. Gegger, J. R. Skinner, resigned; Turkey, J. M. Gist, vice A. P. Hall, resigned.
