Miss Venus Wins Visitors Leave- and Mrs. P. N. Maloy and little son, Roger, who had spent the summer months in Corvallis, left here recently to return to their home at, Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. Maloy is connected with the schools in the southern California city and has returned to his duties. He came north to attend the summer aession at Oregon State college and he and his family remained here through the of the vacation season. Mrs. Maloy is a sister of Mrs. L. N. Goodding of this city. Return From Trip - Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel H: Meier and family are at home again after a motor trip which covered several weeks and took them to Missouri and Arkansas. They stopped at St. Louis and at Farrar, Mo., where they visited Mr. Meier's mother, Mrs. John H. Meier. The Meiers then went on to Arkansas to visit Mrs. Meier's sisters and their families and to inspect the big rice fields of that section. Returning west they visited the Bad Lands and the Black Hills, Yellowstone Park and other places of interest and stopped with an uncle and cousins of Mrs. Meier, in South Dakota.
