-Ewing Presbytery will meet at New Hope church, four miles west of Dover, on Thursday August 24th at 7:30 p. m Delegates traveling by train will be met at Russellville on the day of meeting with transportation. All churches yet in arrears for dues are requestsd to forward the same at once to Rev. J. A. Conley, Lamar, Ark. M. A. All for sale at a very low price. -The Norman State bank of which W. C. Renfrow is president, successfully withstood a run of depositors one day last week. The scare was precipitated by the failure of a bank at Oklahoma City. A local paper referring to the run says the outcome shows the Norman State bank to be one of the safest and solidest financial institutions in the country. Benn, the young minister who has been filling the Presbyterian pulpit for the past two months. Mr. Benn will have pastoral charge of the church here and at Mt. White, who returned k this week from the far west tells of the exodus of hundreds of Colorado miners to the east and the many hardships to which they are subjected. Many of them were without money and had not tasted food for days. So desperate were they that numbers of them banded to gether and took possession of freight trains traveling east and no effort was made to put them off.
