New Bank to Open at May Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Chase and two daughters of Capron were in Buffalo Friday on their way to May to make arrangements to move there in a short time. Mr. Chase will be cashier of "The Bank of May," a new bank for which a charter was recently granted. L. L. Stine of Woodward will be president, and Mrs. May Chase, vice president. The new bank will be capitalized for $15,000, and will be housed in the building formerly owned by the suspended May State Bank. The building and fixtures have all been purchased by the new bank. It will be open for business the latter part of April or first of May. Mr. Chase and family are not strangers to Harper County people. He proved up a homestead six miles southwest of Supply and later was with the New State Bank of Woodward. From there he went to Capron and was cashier of the Capron State Bank until it was merged with the Bank of Capron.
