Cooper, 52 years old, receiver for the defunct Hugo National and City National banks here and First National bank of Boswell, was found dead in bed in his room in a local hotel shortly after 9 o'clock Thursday morning. He had apparently been dead several hours, physicians said, as a result of heart failure. Prior to his appointment as a bank receiver here in May, 1925, Cooper was for many years a national bank examiner and was well known in banking circles of the southwest. BANK RECEIVER DIES IN HUGO Was Prominent in Banking Circles and Republican Politics HUGO. Feb. 23. (AP)-Roy A Cooper. 52. receiver for the defunct Hugo National and City National banks here and the First National bank of Boswell, was found dead today in his room in local hotel He apparently had been dead for several hours. Physicians said death was due to heart disease. Prominent Republican Prior to Mr. Cooper's appointment us bank receiver here in May, 1925. he was for many years national bank examiner and was well known in banking circles. At one time he was an examiner for the Oklahoma banking department.
