LOCAL POINTS The city federation passed single statehood and pure food resolutions. Langston university has already paid out $17,038 for the new &ddition. Attorney General Hadley, of Missouri, will arrive in Oklahoma Monday to take depositions in the oil cases against the Standard, Carrie Nation was defeated in a joint debate with John Tanner at Mt. Zion school house, near Okarche. The enrollment at the county high school reached 413 this morning. Miss Kate Beatty, of Shawnee High school. is a new pupil at the Logan County High school. Assistant United States Attorney C. R. Peck will deliver a speech at the Decoration day service at Blackwell, May 30. John J. Gray, who was bitten while trying to house a dog with rables Wednesday, died at Muskogee in jail, in which place he was placed for safekeeping. When he became violent he would bark like a dog. Paul Cooper, territorial bank commissioner, has announced that the Bessie State bank, of Bessie, in Washita county, has closed 16a doors and will pass into a receiver's hands. Mr. Cooper has the bank now in charge until Judge Beauchamp appoints a receiver.
