PERSONAL AND POLITICAL. Cleveland's official plurality in Florida is 3,738. A Democrat was elected mayor of Fall River, Mass. Dr. Harvey L. Byrd, a well-known physician of Baltimore, is dead. Gov. Cleveland will resign the governorship of New York on January 6th. Rev. John James Lewis, Professor of Madison University, died of pneumonia. The General Assembly of Virginia passed the election bill over the veto of the Governor. Hon. Samuel J. Randall made a speech at the Democratic demonstration at Atlanta, Ga. A. W. Bliss, of Syracuse, N. Y., was appointed receiver of the Watertown National bank. The Presidential electors in the various States met on December 3d, and cast their votes for President. Five hundred members of the New York County Democracy will attend the Cleveland inauguration.
