NEW YORK, May 3.-The - National Currency Bank of this city has ceased to exist as a bank. Notice has been sent to its country depositors to withdraw their balances, and for the present at least the concern will run as a specie office. Want of profitable or even a paying business was the cause of the bank winding up.
