PETITION IN BANKRUPTCY. The following petition in bankruptcy was filed yesterday with the Clerk of the United States District Court: Nora A. Smith. voluntary petition. No. 472 West 145th street, showing liabilities of $67,566 and assets of $150. The principal creditors are the receivers of the Murray Hill Bank, $32,926; National Bank of Commerce, $6,171; B. B. Odeli, jr., and E. H. Hobbs, receivers of the Murray Hill Bank (second claim), $18,125: J. L. Mott Iron Works, $3,460. The assets consist of wearing apparel, $150. An involuntary petition was filed against the Criterion Hotel Company, operating the Hotel Lincoln, 52d street and Broadway, by Joseph Heidelberger, $2,003: Seth Heft. $100: F. W. Hatzel, $500. Preferences are alleged. Jerome S. Hess, son of Charles Hess. the well known politician, was appointed receiver, with a bond of $1.500, and authorized to continue business twenty days. F. A. Ives, No. 150 East 13th street: liabilities of $1,853; assets, $50. The principal creditor is the Penn Robler Company. $312. An involuntary petition was filed against Samuel & Jacob Hagler, No. 129 Rivington street, by Von Zandt, Jacobs & Co. and other creditors with claims of $547. Preferences are alleged. The schedules of L. S. Wright & Co. show debts of $9,889 and assets of $6,916. The latter consist of cash held by receiver, $4.441: accounts. $2,475. The principal creditors are J. B. Brown, $2,550; Charlotte Wright. $2,037. Schedules of Samuel Stackman show debts of $15,036 and assets of $16,980. The principal creditors are the State Bank, $1,000; F. Sohn, Germany, $1,000. The assets consist of, cash in hands of receiver, $4.000; stock in trade at No. 40 East 10th street, $3,500; accounts. $7,387. and money deposited with State Bank as security, $1,000.
