$55,000,000 R. F. C. LOANS BARED OVER WHITE HOUSE PROTEST

(By United Press) Washington, D. C., Aug. 22. -The Reconstruction Finance Corporation loaned or allotted $55,000,000 to 437 authorized borrowers in the last ten days of July, its report revealed today. In making public the first corporation report, pursuant to terms of the Unemployment Relief bill, South Trimble, clerk of the House, revealed that à representative of President Hoo r telephoned him last week protesting publication. The corporation reported that, from July 21 to July 31, it had authorized 437 loans aggregating $45,057,556.10 and loan increases aggregating $1,653,500. The aggregate of $46,711,056.10 of loans and loan increases was authorized as follows: Banks and trust companies, $3,990,180.23; agricultural credit corporations, $104,309.58; building and loan associations, $3,088,650; insurance companies, $2,247,500; joint stock land banks, $90,000; livestock it corporations, $580,716.29; mortgage loan companies, $747,000, and railroads, $6,862,700.

The report was signed by Atlee Pomerene, chairman of the corporation's board of directors. The report showed that at the close of business July 31 the corporation had total assets of $1,239,929,651.49.
The following New York State loans were announced: New York City, Serial Building and Loan and Savings Institution, $200,000; West Side Mutual Building, Loan and Savings Association, $50,000; Bellerose, First National Bank, $90,000; Depew, Bank of Depew, $15,000; Gasport, First National Bank (receiver), $19,400; Ilion, Manufacturers National Bank, $50,000; Mahopac, Mahopac National Bank, $26,000; Newfane, State Bank of Newfane, $17,500; Sodus, First National Bank, $70,000.

For New Jersey these loans were reported: Barrington, Suburban Commercial Bank, $45,000; Camden, North Camden Trust Company, $20,000; Clifton, Clifton Trust Company, $180,000; Dunellen, People's Trust Company, $60,000; East Orange, First National Bank, $160,000; Elizabeth, Union County Trust Company, $30,000; Irvington, Chancellor Trust Company, $55,000; Newark, Clinton Trust Company, $300,000; Orange, Orange Valley Bank, $30,000.
