Severance, Cashier of the defunct Farmers' Bank, of Fayetteville, N. Y., has been arrested on complaint of Receiver Andrews, charging him with embezzling $50,000 of the bank's funds. The winning horses at Brooklyn yesterday were Specialty, Raceland, Grisette (Baldwin's), Queen Elizabeth, Fordham, and Nellie Van. Those running second were Haldwin's King Idle, Esquimaux, Freedom, Bessie June, Monmouth, and Maggie Mitchell.
