WORK BEGUN ON FEDERAL NATIONAL BANK BOOKS The work of examining the books of the Federal National Bank of Boston and organizing a receivership was begun yesterday the direction of Herbert Pearson, Federal receiver, representing the Controller of the Currency at Washington. Mr Pearson arrived at the bank yesterday morning and plunged into series of conferences with Fred D. Williams, chief national bank examiner for New England: Michael Hurley, national bank examiner, who was temporarily 11 charge of the bank, and officials of the closed bank. He said the matter will be handled under the National Bank Act and all legal rights will be fully protected.
