REMOVAL OFWILDES ASKED BY MANY OLD DEPOSITORS PETITIONS BEING CIRCULATED TO GET RID OF A VERY COSTLY INCUBUS. That there appears to be no necessity for retaining a high salaried receiver to look after affairs of the defunct State Bank and Trust company is the opinion of many depositors who are today circulating petitions throughout, the state calling on Judge Langan to remove Frank Wildes from his lucrative berth. The following, which is being generally signed by depositors of the bank in Carson, Tonopah, Goldfield and other places, and addressed to Hon. Frank P. Langan, judge of the court of the first judicial district, is the petition: "The Hon. Jewett W. Adams, having expressed his willingness and offered to act as receiver of the State Bank and Trust company without salary, we, the undersigned, depositors of the State Bank and Trust company, respectfully petition the above entitled court to remove the present receiver and appoint in his place and as receiver of the State Bank and Trust company, Jewett W. Adams, and we hereby request that the attorney-general of the state of Nevada to present this petition to the above entitled court by proper motion and proceedings." When the petitions have been signed up and returned, indicating that it is the desire of a majority of the depositors that Frank Wildes be e removed and Governor Adams be apS pointed as receiver in his stead, it f is probable that a day will be set for n the hearing of the petitions.-Carson e Appeal.
