ACTION AGAINST STATE BANK When the State Bank and Trust company closed its doors in 1907, this county beside an open account, had $3,500 on deposit under a special certificate of deposit. For some reason unknown, no attempt was ever made to have funds in the bank set aside for the payment of this claim until recently when the District Attorney took the matter up and entered suit against the receiver of the bank. Saturday the matter came up for hearing before Judge Langan at Carson at which time County Clerk Jepsen and Recorder Klotz gave evidence on behalf of Douglas county.
