ROSWELL SPRINKLER CASE SUBMITTED TO THE SUPREME COURT ISPECIAL DISPATCH TO MORNING JOURNAL] Santa Fe, Sept. 14.-The famous Roswell sprinkling case, City of Roswell, applelee, vs. U. S. Bateman, appellant, Was argued and submitted today in the state supreme court, Bateman appearing in his own behalf and H. M. Dow for the city. The constitutionality of a Roswell ordinance levying a sprinkling tax on property owners in districts benefited by the sprinkling, is at issue in the case, the lower court having decided in favor of the legality of the ordinance. The case of the First National bank of Raton, appellant, VS. Charles E. Dennis, receiver, etc., appellee, from Curry county, was argued and submitted. For tomorrow the cases of Elfego X Baca, appellant, VS. the City of Albuquerque, appellee, and of Trinidad G. de Baca, appellant, VS. Peter Roth, et al, appellees, from San Miguel county, are set for hearing.
