RECEIVER DISAPPEARS. Young New Orleans Financier Has Turned Up Missing. New Orleans, Dec. 26.-While relatives and friends of T. Walter Danziger tonight vainly tried to ascertain his whereabouts, the state bank examiner was going over the books of the Teutonia Bank and Trust Company and several accountants were checking books of Mr. Danziger's varied interests. A meeting of relatives and close friends of the young financier took place tonight but if any move was decided upon it was not made public. He has not been seen by any member of his family, they say, nor by business associates since last Tuesday. Mr. Danziger is a member of the real estate firm of Danziger and Tes. sier, one of the oldest in New Orleans, is liquidator for the Teutonia bank, the Mitchell-Borne Construction Company and the People's Insurance Company. The combined bond required of him for his work with these interests is $125,000. Mr. Danziger had about $500 with him when he left his apartments in a local hotel Tuesday. His young wife, to whom he was married less than a year ago, believes he has met foul play. His business associates offer no excuse for his absence. Upon application of Michael Mischell, who is financially interested in the Mitchell Borne Construction Company, a court order was signed late today by Judge Frederick King, of the civil district court removing Mr. Danzinger as receiver and appointing Mr. Mitchell in his place.
