NEW HAMPSHIRE NOTES. Dr. William Jarvis of Claremont has sold from his own breeding of red Irish setter dogs, Elcho, jr., for $1000, and a pair of field puppies for $1000. For the past week there has been quite an extensive run on the Piscataqua savings bank at Portsmouth, nearly $75,000 having been withdrawn. The cause for this run is a mystery to the bank officials and it is doubtful if many who withdraw their money can give any reason, save that some one else was drawing money. The bank is in a very strong condition. Elisha Munsell's dry house in Swanzey and factory filled with staves were burned on Friday morning of last week. Loss $600. There were three deaths in Walpole the latter part of last week. Salem Town, a well-known farmer, died on Thursday; Charles G. Livermore, an aged resident, on Friday morning; and Mrs. Anna Taggard, wife of John W. Taggard, a prominent farmer, on Friday forenoon.
