Vorbeck, purchased two very desirable residence lots on Grand avenue yesterday of Manager John F. Moore, of the Grand Junction Fruit Growers association. Mr. Vorbeck contemplates the erection of a handsome home on these lots in the near future. Dr. Ursa S. Abbot. one of the city's popular young physicans will leave Sunday night for St. Louis and other 1 points east. Dr. Abbott while east will visit his old home in Ohio and 1 those who know him best say he will not return "alone." He will be absent about one month. I Prof. F. A. Disreali, of Denver, a former well known musical genius. is a visitor after an absence of many years. The old timers all recognize Prof. Disraeli a characater who was the means of much entertainment years ago Prof. Disraeli owns an orchard of ten acres on Orchard Mesa. The Democratic county central committee is in session this afternoon at the court house. Nearly all the members of the committee are present and a very animated meeting is being held.
