Bank Receiver Says Stock Book Located; Asks Reopening Suit A receiver was appointed for one failed state bank and reopening of litigation involving another was taken under advisement by District Judge Chappell Saturday morning. He appointed Clarence G. Bliss, secretary of department of trade and commerce, as receiver of the Bank of Sprague. The bank had failed and had been taken over by the state banking department. was to reopen the suit by E. Dempster, receiver for the Farmers and Merchants bank of Walton. against alleged stockholders in the bank. At the time the suit was heard, the stock book could not be located and several persons whom the state claimed were stockholders were held not to be so by the court. Since then the state has recovered the stock book and asks that the matter be reopened to permit evidence to be brought that some others stockholders this could be established. it would permit assessment of the double liability against new parties. The three persons in the actions were C. W. Anderson, H. C. Parsons, and Fred Ossenkoop, Judge Chappell took the matter under advisement
