E. 1. Horner and Merl H. Garrison. bank examiners. were in the city early last week and examined the banks here. They returned again the first of the week and made n voice of everything at the Sargent State Bank following the action of the directors of that bank in voluntarily closing its doors so that its business may be wound up and its deposits and accounts liquidated with out any loss to depositors. Miss Patrice Mooney of Lincoln spent several days here last week as the guest of Miss Genevieve Monroe. She came Monday night, January 18, and left Friday morning, January 22. for home, being accompanied by Miss Genevieve who went intending to remain in Lincoln two days and then she and Miss Patrice were going to Omaha to visit a couple of days. Miss Genevieve returned home Wednesday night.

IN CORRECTION In article last week stating that the Sargent State Bank had voluntarily closed its doors, statthat Wirsig was the cashier the bank and that George Steinhoff was the assistant cashier. That was mistake as Mr. Wirsig the vice president and Mr. Steinthe cashier. There was another mistake in that article. The railroad grade was built Sargent in 1887 instead of 1886, the date given in the article.
