There was a general suspension of business today. The First Na. tional and Florence State banks were closed: the postoffice kept Sunday hours and the merchants were not over-rushed with business. The voting places were full nearly all day and it is expected that there will be a rush between 6 and 7 o'clock this evening Carriage were driven to all parts of the city conveying voters to the polls SO that they might east their vote for their favorite party or candidates for office. The polls close at 7 o'clock tonight and those who have not exercised their right as an American citizen should do so at once.
